When should massage NOT be the first step? – Let's take care of your health!

Many of you ask me if a refreshing or relaxing massage can help in the event of a sudden injury, sprain, or sharp pain. While massage has a huge power in regeneration, it is important to clarify where my job ends and the job of medicine begins.

Why clarity is important: The massage types on my website are primarily intended to improve well-being, relieve muscle tension, and relieve stress. It is important to know that I am neither a massage therapist nor a chiropractor , so I am not authorized to treat certain medical conditions.

When should you definitely see a doctor?

If you experience the following, please see a specialist first instead of getting a massage:

  • Sprains and strains: If a joint is out of place or moving suspiciously.

  • Suspected fracture: In case of sharp pain, swelling or deformity.

  • More serious muscle tears: When the pain is accompanied by an inability to move.

Why is the "home" solution dangerous? If you try to "fix" or move a sprain or fracture without professional knowledge, it can cause much more trouble: nerve damage, permanent joint damage, or internal bleeding can occur.

The correct order for healing

  1. Diagnosis: First, a doctor (traumatologist or orthopedic specialist) should determine the exact nature of the injury.

  2. Professional care: If necessary, rehabilitation should be led by a therapeutic massage therapist or physiotherapist.

  3. Leiel massage: When you're over the worst and the doctor has given the go-ahead, I look forward to regenerating, stress-relieving treatments to help your body find its balance again.

For me, your safety and health come first! If you are unsure, feel free to ask me in a message and I will be happy to guide you.
